The leader of the Civil Contract faction, Arusyak Manavazyan, has stated that the faction has not yet made any decision regarding the candidacy of Aram Vardevanyan.

According to her, work discussions are currently taking place within the faction, concerning the National Assembly's activities over the last four days; however, the issue of Vardevanyan's candidacy has not yet been discussed.

“We do not have a decision yet, and we have not had any discussions. We have time; we need to listen to the speeches and the Q&A session, and then we will make a decision accordingly,” Manavazyan said.

When asked if she urged her colleagues to vote in favor, the MP noted that there has been no such necessity, as the faction is following the previously declared approach.

In Manavazyan’s assessment, Aram Vardevanyan often does not provide clear answers to questions and sidesteps them, which, according to her, means that “the time has not yet ripened” for his candidacy to be discussed.

Addressing Taron Chakhoyan's statements from yesterday and the issue of political ethics, Manavazyan noted that the ruling team has already responded to this topic. According to her, both the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan and the head of the faction have addressed the issue, which she considers closed.
