Video: Parliamentary Bonuses of 'Strong Armenia' Will Go to Charity, Vardevanyan
The candidate for the position of Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Aram Vardevanyan, responded to questions regarding parliamentary salaries and bonuses, stating that the 'Strong Armenia' faction has a clear stance on this issue.
According to Vardevanyan, the faction leader has already presented their position on salaries, while the decision regarding bonuses is even clearer. 'We have a clear stance regarding bonuses. Even if any MP receives a bonus, it will be exclusively allocated to charity, addressing the problems of our compatriots,' he stated.
He emphasized that this process will be conducted with maximum transparency. 'We want to set a new threshold of transparency to show how these funds are being utilized,' Vardevanyan noted.
Previously, he also mentioned that if the 'Strong Armenia' faction decides, he would resign his parliamentary mandate without hesitation, stressing that the decisions of the faction should be a priority for him and other members.
