Corruption Allegations Arise in Armenia Regarding Military Participation in 2026 Rally
The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal investigation into cases of bribery, illegal charity, and obstruction of the free exercise of electoral rights. Evidence has emerged indicating that former military personnel, including those who were injured, were allegedly incentivized to participate in a gathering in Yerevan in April 2026.
Additionally, the investigation is looking into apparent crimes related to the murder of a military personnel. The Anti-Corruption Committee will continue its persistent efforts to uncover, prevent, and hold accountable those allegedly involved in such offenses in accordance with the law.
