Building a Home for 40 Years, We're Not Going to Evict Anyone: Prime Minister Pashinyan's Statement
“A person has built a house and lived in it for 40 years; we’re not going to tell them to leave,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a campaign event in Davitashen.
“Since the numbers are high, individuals are approaching us one by one, and it takes years for each resolution. We are now passing a law that will address this in a package. We must start from the principle that, de jure, the Soviet Union allowed this to happen, and people have been living in these houses for 40, 50, or even 60 years. We are adopting a law that will expedite this process as much as possible,” Pashinyan noted.
