What Steps Will Iran Take in Case of a Double Attack?

Iran's parliamentary representative for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, announced on the social network X that one of Iran's potential responses to a double attack could be the enrichment of uranium up to 90 percent. He noted that this issue will be discussed in parliament.

On May 11, U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that Iran allegedly does not want to commit to not developing nuclear weapons. Following this, Trump stated that the United States might soon resume military operations in the Strait of Hormuz or take "much more serious" actions against Iran.

At the same time, Tehran has repeatedly assured that it has no intention of developing nuclear weapons. Western intelligence agencies have also found no evidence of such weapons being developed by Iran, as reported by The New York Times at the end of January. Additionally, since 2003, Iran has been operating under a fatwa issued by former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which prohibits the production of nuclear weapons.
