Peskov Talks About Message from Zelensky Through Fico
Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico did not convey any messages from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov informed journalists.
Earlier, the Slovak newspaper Pravda reported, citing a Foreign Ministry statement, that the Slovak Prime Minister could relay a message from Zelensky during his visit to Moscow.
“No, it has not been conveyed,” Peskov said in response to a question from RIA Novosti regarding whether Fico had already transmitted any message to Zelensky. He clarified that during a state reception that had taken place in the Kremlin for foreign leaders arriving for the Victory Day celebrations, Putin and Fico did not have the opportunity to converse.
“Everyone was present at the reception, there wasn’t really an opportunity,” the Russian presidential press secretary explained.
