Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses Armenian-Russian Relations and Existing Issues
Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan addressed the topic of Armenian-Russian relations during an interview with journalists at the "Victory" Park, stating that the issues under discussion cannot be described as a crisis. The relationship between Armenia and Russia has a long history, and there are currently certain matters being discussed with Russian counterparts.
According to Mnatsakan Safaryan, in light of developments occurring in the world, it is natural for questions to arise between the two parties, which they seek to address through dialogue.
Commenting on reports from Russian media that Armenia's ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry for a harsh conversation regarding the provision of a platform to Zelensky, the deputy minister clarified that this was their interpretation. He confirmed that the ambassador was summoned and that a note was conveyed to him, which was related to the summit held in Armenia. Safaryan added that they will respond to the note if necessary, but at this moment he does not comment on its content.
