Central Electoral Commission Issues Statement on Elections
The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has announced that during its extraordinary session on May 5, it established the positions of chairpersons and secretaries of the precinct electoral commissions for the regular elections of the National Assembly scheduled for June 7, 2026, which will be shared among parties with parliamentary factions and party alliances. This information has been communicated by the CEC.
The distribution of chairpersons and secretaries was carried out through the "Elections" automated system with the following proportions: "Civil Contract" party – 1331, "Armenia" party alliance – 543, "I Have Honor" party alliance – 131.
Applications for the appointment of members to the precinct electoral commissions are to be submitted to the Central Electoral Commission from May 8 to May 13, inclusive, until 18:00. The applications will be sent by the parties/alliances with parliamentary factions and by the electoral commissions. The CEC does not have the authority to form the precinct electoral commissions.
