Impressed by Steps Toward Regional Stability, Says Canadian Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting at the Government with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The Prime Minister welcomed Carney's visit to Armenia as part of the 8th summit of the European Political Community.
"I want to thank you for accepting the invitation to participate in the summit of the European Political Community and for taking the opportunity to visit our country. I believe that your participation makes this format more effective, as it clearly expands perspectives and viewpoints," stated the country's leader.
Mark Carney expressed gratitude to the Armenian Prime Minister and the Government for the invitation to this important event. The Canadian Prime Minister also thanked Nikol Pashinyan and the Armenian Government for their support provided to Canadians concerning the Iran conflict.
At the same time, he mentioned the ongoing monitoring conducted in the region in cooperation with the European Union and expressed their readiness to provide support regarding the conduct of elections.
The Canadian Prime Minister noted how impressed he is by Prime Minister Pashinyan's efforts to bring about regional stability and greater prospects for prosperity for the Armenian people.
During the meeting, the two sides addressed the friendly bilateral relations between Armenia and Canada and exchanged thoughts on matters of mutual interest.
