Opposition Enters Electoral Battle with Consensus Minus One Logic: Hasmik Hakobyan
National Assembly member from the "Civil Contract" faction, Hasmik Hakobyan, addressed challenges of collaboration with the opposition during a press briefing with journalists.
According to her, there are laws and decisions in parliament that can only be adopted with a constitutional majority. However, recent experiences have shown that the opposition often boycotts even projects that align with the interests of society.
"Even regarding support for our compatriots forcibly displaced from Artsakh, there have been various bills, and the opposition has not voted in favor. We even face problems in international forums when collaborating with these individuals. These same opposition members, as you can see, still have the opportunity to enter parliament as opposition, and collaboration with them will not work out because everyone has entered the electoral battle with a consensus minus one logic," she stated.
