Iran Will Prevail in Case of US Attack, Says Spokesman of Afghanistan's Leader
If the US attacks Iran, the Islamic Republic will emerge victorious, stated Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Supreme Leader of Afghanistan.
“First of all, we are not advocates of wars and conflicts. But... the last time the Islamic Republic of Iran was subjected to an attack, the result was Iran's victory. And I believe the same will happen this time. Because Iran has strength. Iran is right and has the right to self-defense,” Mujahid’s remarks are quoted by the Afghan AVA-press news agency.
According to the spokesman, Afghans are ready to show solidarity and cooperation with the Iranian people to the best of their abilities if military difficulties arise and if requested.
“If we receive any request, Afghans are ready to show solidarity and cooperate with the Iranian people in the case of military difficulties. We hope that there will be no war between the two countries,” said Mujahid.
The next round of negotiations between the US and Iran is scheduled for Tuesday in Geneva. Iranian officials have warned that any US attack would lead to a decisive and painful response.
Previously, US President Donald Trump stated that a “massive fleet” is moving towards Iran, expressing hope that Tehran would agree to negotiate a “fair and equitable” deal that includes the complete dismantling of nuclear weapons. The American leader reminded that in June 2025, the US struck Iran’s nuclear facilities under the “Midnight Hammer” operation, stating that “the next attack will be worse” and calling for “no allowance for that to happen.”
