Danish Prime Minister Refuses to Set Price for Greenland
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has refused to set a price for Greenland during discussions at the Munich Security Conference. BBC quoted her remarks.
Frederiksen dismissed the question of whether she could set a price for Greenland, stating, "Of course not." She also emphasized the need to respect sovereign states and the right to self-determination of peoples. "The people of Greenland have clearly stated that they do not wish to become American," Frederiksen underscored.
Previously, at the Munich Security Conference, the Prime Minister announced that the dispute between the Danish and American sides regarding Greenland remains unresolved. On February 13, Frederiksen met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was joined by the head of the Greenlandic government, Jens-Frederik Nielsen.
