Large-Scale Raids: Police Uncover Criminal Group
The Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with the regional department of Lori, have conducted extensive operational-investigative measures that revealed a group of individuals who formed a criminal organization. They acquired illegal weapons and ammunition and prepared for murders, committed armed robberies, and residential burglaries.
Intervening in various interpersonal and financial issues, they sought help from individuals with high criminal authority and participated in gatherings and activities of groups carrying a criminal subculture.
A criminal case has been initiated against them. Members of the criminal group have been charged with preparing for murder, attempted murder, participating in a group with a criminal subculture, illegal carrying of weapons and ammunition, hooliganism, robbery, theft, destruction or damage of property, and drug trafficking.
As a result of the operational-investigative measures taken, members of the criminal group were identified and arrested. Large-scale searches conducted with the Investigative Committee revealed illegal weapons, ammunition, and drugs at their residences.
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against 10 members of the criminal group. An investigation is underway.
