US Imposes New Sanctions on Iran's Shadow Oil Exports
The United States has expanded its sanctions on Iran's alleged shadow oil exports by imposing new restrictions on 15 companies, 14 oil tankers, and two individuals. This was announced by Tommy Pigott, the official spokesperson for the US State Department.
According to him, these entities are believed to have been involved in schemes to supply Iranian oil aimed at circumventing existing international sanctions. The expansion of sanctions, as highlighted, is intended to disrupt the operations of these financial and logistical mechanisms.
One of the companies under sanctions is registered in Kazakhstan, which, according to the US, indicates the multinational nature of the networks associated with Iranian oil exports.
