Food Delivery Personnel Required to Have Sanitary Booklet
Considering the recent increase in the public's use of food delivery services and in response to the concerning number of complaints and alerts received from citizens, the Food Safety Inspection Body will start extensive monitoring in this sector from March 1, 2026. Delivery personnel who have not undergone preliminary and periodic medical examinations and lack a sanitary (medical) booklet will face administrative liability from the organizations providing delivery services.
It is the responsibility of these organizations to ensure that employees who have direct contact with food during its production and circulation phases undergo medical examinations as stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
It is important to note that personnel involved in any phase of the food chain (production, processing, distribution, storage, preservation, transportation, importation, exportation, and sale, from initial production to consumption, including trade and public catering services) must undergo preliminary (upon hiring) and periodic (every six months) medical examinations and possess a personal sanitary (medical) booklet.
