Kyiv Will Not Compromise: Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that during the upcoming negotiations in Abu Dhabi, Ukraine will seek dialogue but is not prepared to make compromises.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Zelensky made this remark at a press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He emphasized that the proposals and signals presented by the Russian delegation will become subjects of discussion for all involved parties.
Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian delegation has previously agreed to thoroughly analyze what the Russian negotiators bring and what possible compromises they are willing to make. The President stressed that the Ukrainian side is open to dialogue but does not consider any unilateral concessions.
He asserted that there is a need to seek communication avenues in the negotiating process without abandoning Ukraine's positions. Zelensky also indicated that Kyiv is ready to support the steps proposed by the United States aimed at reducing tensions and de-escalating the situation.
