A Ruling Has Been Made on the Lands of the Ijevan City Park
The Public Interest Protection Division of the Prosecutor General's Office submitted a lawsuit on March 11, 2025, to the Anti-Corruption Court against two individuals regarding the construction rights over two plots of land situated at 18/3 Theater Street and 1/28 Valansi Street in the Ijevan community of Tavush Province. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the plots have an area of 18 sq. m and 351 sq. m respectively.
With the ruling issued by the Anti-Corruption Court on January 26, 2026, the lawsuits filed by the Prosecutor General's Office were upheld. The construction rights for the aforementioned plots were revoked from the two individuals.
After the rulings take legal effect, the Prosecutor General's Office will apply to the Cadastre Committee for the state registration of the revocation of construction rights on these plots.
It is noteworthy that, in total, several properties have been returned to the Ijevan community within the area of the city park in Tavush Province, including:
- A 19 sq. m plot at 18 Theater Street,
- A 1 sq. m plot at 18/7 Theater Street,
- An 8 sq. m plot at 18/5 Theater Street,
- A 436 sq. m plot at 1/55 Independence Street,
- A 0.06 ha plot at 1/29 Valansi Street,
- A 0.01 ha plot at 1/62 Independence Street,
- An 8 sq. m plot at 1/54 Independence Street,
- A 1500 sq. m plot at 1/41 Independence Street,
- A 0.03 ha plot at 18/6 Theater Street,
- A 0.03 ha plot at 1/27 Valansi Street.
Additionally, as a result of the prosecutor's intervention, a 0.03 ha plot adjacent to the city park fountains has been returned to the possession and use of the Ijevan community.
