Moscow Opposes Economic and Military Pressure on Cuba: Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated the unacceptability of economic and military pressure on Cuba during a phone conversation with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, as stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The Russian side has reaffirmed its principled position regarding the unacceptability of economic and military pressure on Cuba, including the obstruction of the island's energy supply, which threatens to seriously worsen the country’s economic and humanitarian situation. There was also a demonstration of continued determination to provide Cuba with necessary political and material support," the statement posted on the ministry's website read.
