Lavrov Comments on Security Guarantees from Washington and Kyiv
Russia does not know what specific security guarantees Washington and Kyiv have agreed upon, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“We do not know what guarantees they have come to terms on, but apparently, they relate to the guarantees of the same Ukrainian government that conducts a Russophobic, neo-Nazi policy,” Lavrov told reporters.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that a general agreement has supposedly been reached regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. He added that the mechanism for these guarantees is effectively dependent on Washington's support.
