The US Has Not Yet Fulfilled Its Promise to Release Two Russian Sailors from the Mariner Ship
The US has not yet fulfilled its promise to release two Russian sailors from the Mariner oil tanker. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in an interview with TASS.
“We still have no clarity on when the American side will finally fulfill its promise at the highest level regarding the release of Russian citizens from the crew of the Mariner tanker, arrested by Americans,” he noted.
It is worth mentioning that on January 9, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced that US President Donald Trump, in response to Russia's request, decided to release two Russian sailors from the crew of the Mariner tanker.
