President Signs Law: January 27 to Be a Non-Working Day
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, signed a law on January 20 amending the "Law on Holidays and Memorial Days of the Republic of Armenia." The National Assembly approved the draft law in the second reading and in full yesterday. The authors of the bill are MPs Ruben Rubinyan and Gegham Nazaryan.
They proposed establishing January 27 as a day of remembrance for those who fell for the defense of the homeland. Thus, January 27 will be a non-working day.
