Emergency Medical Services Company Provided Around 307,000 Calls in Yerevan in 2025
The Emergency Medical Services Company announced that it serviced around 307,000 calls in Yerevan throughout 2025. This was stated by the director of the Emergency Medical Services Company, Ruben Grigoryan, during a press conference.
“We have serviced about 307,000 calls, which is approximately 3 percent higher compared to 2024. The increase is mainly attributed to the growth in the capital's population. In the last days of December and the first ten days of January, I noticed a decline in the number of calls by about 35 percent. Our 'expectations' have not been met, and that is very good news. During the same period in 2024, we handled 1,000-1,200 calls per day, whereas this year we are seeing around 800-850 calls daily,” Grigoryan noted.
It is also worth mentioning that currently, an individual can register for 8 calls free of charge, after which, depending on the location, the fee may range from 10,000 to 15,000 drams. Exceptions will be made for knife wounds, lightning strikes, gunshot injuries, and others.
He also pointed out that about 99 percent of citizens registered for up to 8 calls, 0.5 percent for up to 20 calls, while the remaining 0.5 percent registered for more than 20 calls.
