Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Responds to Claims of Attack on Putin's Residence

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibihian has stated that the accusations circulating from Russia alleging that Ukraine attacked President Vladimir Putin's residence are unfounded. He noted that almost a day after the incident, Moscow has yet to present any convincing evidence, as such an attack did not occur.

Sibihian expressed that Ukrainian authorities are disappointed and concerned about the statements made by the United Arab Emirates, India, and Pakistan, which expressed worry over an incident that did not actually take place. He pointed out the peculiar fact that these countries did not offer any official response to the attack on September 7, 2025, when a Russian missile struck the Ukrainian government building.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister reminded that Russia has long employed disinformation tactics and false statements. He cited Moscow's claims at the beginning of 2022 that it did not intend to attack Ukraine, and emphasized that Russia often accuses others of actions it itself plans.

Sibihian stressed that responding to unverified and unfounded statements only contributes to Russian propaganda and can hinder the constructive peace process that has been emerging recently. Ukraine calls on all countries to act responsibly and refrain from statements based on unverified information.
