Clear Message: It’s Shameful That They Died in a Foreign Country, Says US President
US President Donald Trump expressed sorrow over the fact that American mercenaries have gone to Ukraine and died there. According to him, Ukraine is a foreign country for them, making the situation even more tragic.
During a press conference following talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump was asked what message he could convey to the families of Americans who died in Ukraine. Trump responded, “The message is very clear: it’s shameful that they died in a foreign country.”
Trump did not provide further evaluations or political commentary.
