Kazakhstan Identifies Possible Cause of AZAL Plane Crash
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport revealed that the AZAL plane was allegedly damaged by debris from missile warheads, the identity of which has not yet been determined. This information was published in an interim report regarding the investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) Embraer 190 aircraft near Aktau.
Recall that the AZAL Embraer 190, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed on the morning of December 25, 2024, near the city of Aktau, located in western Kazakhstan. According to the airline, there were 62 passengers and five crew members on board. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that 29 people survived.
