Pope Calls for Global Ceasefire on Christmas Eve
Pope Leo XIV has called upon Russia and Ukraine to agree to a ceasefire on Christmas Eve. This was reported by The Guardian.
“I once again urge all people of goodwill to respect the day of peace – at least on the occasion of the birth of our Savior,” the Pope stated.
The leader of the Vatican suggested that Russia has rejected the request for a ceasefire. He expressed hope that peace would prevail around the world, if only for 24 hours.
