Snow and Black Ice: Situation on Roads in Armenia
As of December 16 at 9:00 AM, snow is falling in the regions of Aragats, Spitak, Artik, Ashotq, Jambarak, Vayq, Jermuk, and Martuni.
The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for vehicles with trailers. This information is reported by the Road Department.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Aragats, Sevan, and Jermuk regions, as well as on the Saravan Pass and the Yeghnikdzor-Eghenadzor road.
All interstate and national roads are open. Road construction teams are carrying out cleaning and treatment with salt and sand on the roadways.
Drivers are advised to be cautious, to strictly adhere to traffic rules, and to travel exclusively on winter tires.
