Moscow Not Ready to Compromise, Pressure Must Be Increased: Rutte
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has commented on the meeting between Vladimir Putin and US envoys in the Kremlin, stating that it is extremely significant.
Mark Rutte has informed that the alliance is in close contact with Washington. “There will be other steps, but we will not comment on each phase,” added the official during a conversation with journalists ahead of the NATO foreign ministers' meeting.
Rutte also indicated that alongside efforts to reach a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the alliance intends to continue purchasing weapons for Ukraine. He expressed concern that Moscow is not ready to compromise, thus it is necessary to intensify pressure on Russia and maintain the sanctions policy.
