Ukraine Seeks Nearly €1 Billion in Additional EU Funding
Kiev is negotiating with the European Union to obtain approximately €1 billion in additional support for purchasing weapons from the United States. This was reported by Ukraine’s ambassador to NATO, Serhiy Glybovych, in an interview with Bloomberg.
Ukraine continues to search for new financial resources to strengthen its defensive capabilities in its fight against Russian aggression. According to Ambassador Glybovych, Kiev has approached the EU with an estimate that it might be possible to receive about €1 billion in additional support, which will be directed exclusively towards the purchase of American military equipment.
He stated that this initiative is being discussed with several EU member states, but a final decision has not yet been made. According to Bloomberg, Kiev is trying to diversify its funding sources, considering the escalation of the war situation and the increasing need for more advanced weapons.
