Some Points of the US Peace Plan Removed, Says Polish Prime Minister
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced, following the informal EU summit in Luanda regarding Ukraine, that European leaders find some of the 28 points of the US plan for resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict unacceptable, as reported by TASS.
According to him, there is little basis for 'euro-optimism,' and EU leaders unanimously agree that work must continue on the points presented a few hours ago, as some of them are not acceptable.
Tusk noted that the proposed point regarding the reduction in the number of Ukrainian armed forces does not satisfy European leaders. He also emphasized the need to maintain sanctions pressure on Russia. Furthermore, Tusk informed that the point concerning the transfer of NATO fighter jets to Poland for Kyiv's security guarantees has been removed from the plan.
It is worth noting that during the EU-African Union summit in Luanda, an informal meeting of European leaders on Ukraine took place, where the main topic was the peace settlement plan presented by the US.
