Pashinyan Responds Again to Aliyev's Statement About Lake Sevan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has responded during a press briefing to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement that Lake Sevan is referred to by a different name on the map of the Russian Empire.
“I also say that on that same map, there is Armenia, and there is no Azerbaijan. What does that mean? He said that on some map from a certain year, Sevan is not there, but another name is used. I ask, how far back are we going?” Pashinyan noted.
According to him, selective interpretations of historical facts cannot serve as a basis for claims about modern borders or identity.
