When the Public Decides, the Catholicos of All Armenians Will Leave: Romanos Petrosyan

There are clergymen who engage in political activities and receive appropriate reactions. This was stated by the acting head of the Holy Etchmiadzin, Romanos Petrosyan, in a conversation with journalists.

He noted that they have not declared a campaign against the Church. “When the public decides that the Catholicos of All Armenians should leave, I am confident that the Catholicos will leave,” Petrosyan said.

“And as for how— I assure you, it will be in strict accordance with legal, moral, and communal norms, just as our governance has been over the past 7.5 years,” he added.

It is noteworthy that Romanos Petrosyan will participate today in the Divine Liturgy conducted by Father Tadeos in Talin.
