Trump Explains Why He Canceled Meeting with Putin
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has canceled the scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, citing a feeling that the meeting would not lead to achieving their objectives. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“We have canceled the meeting with President Putin. There was a sense that it was wrong. I felt that we would not reach the necessary goals,” Trump told reporters.
At the same time, the U.S. President added that he plans to meet with his Russian counterpart in the future and stated that he remains committed to resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
