The Response Will Be Very Strong, If Not Overwhelming. Putin
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, stated in a press conference after the 17th congress of the Russian Geographical Society at the Kremlin that the response to 'Tomahawk' missile strikes on Russian territory would be 'overwhelming'.
'This is an attempt to escalate tensions, but if all strikes on Russian territory are carried out using such weapons, the response will be very strong, if not overwhelming,' he said.
The President also clarified the cancellation of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that discussions have likely been postponed. Putin indicated that the proposal to meet in Budapest came from the United States.
