Government Has Not Built Even 1 Sq. Meter of Housing in Gyumri Over 7 Years: Ruben Mkrtchyan

“You speak of dancers, but where did the country’s highest leadership go to dance, only to surrender it to the Turk later?” This was stated by Ruben Mkrtchyan, the leader of the “Our Powerful Community” faction, during a Gyumri city council session, addressing the council’s members from the ruling Civil Contract party.

“You speak of nurturing mothers, but you drag those nurturing mothers in Erablur with your red berets, having kicked and beaten them. You talk about the 70 billion AMD investment made in Gyumri over the past eight years, but as Trump put it, a fellow countryman of Aliyev has left behind $5 billion worth of weapons in Artsakh, which is equivalent to 1 trillion 900 billion drams.”

“If we were to come forward with documentation now and highlight who has done what and how much, there is a clear fact: in the past seven years, the Armenian government has not built a single square meter of residential area in Gyumri. The rest is a matter of taste and interpretation. You use the term manipulation, but your political force is its Olympic champion,” he remarked.
