The U.S. Has Greater Leverage in Trade Wars than China
U.S. President Donald Trump is prepared to show a “reasonable approach” to trade negotiations with China, provided Beijing does the same, according to Vice President J.D. Vance.
“The President of the United States has much greater leverage than the People’s Republic of China. However, if Beijing is willing to be reasonable, President Donald Trump is always ready to be a reasonable negotiator,” Vance stated in an interview with Fox News.
President Trump has announced that starting from November 1, the U.S. will impose a 100% tariff on goods imported from China, increasing the current rate, citing China’s “aggressive trade stance.”
