Left Bank of Kyiv Without Power: Transportation Collapse Occurs
On the night of October 9 to 10, Russian forces launched a massive assault on Kyiv using offensive drones and ballistic missiles. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the primary strikes targeted critical infrastructure.
A total of 14 major energy facilities were hit.
"The left bank of the capital is without power. There are also issues with water supply.
Power outages have also occurred in other areas of Kyiv," the Mayor wrote.
The city administration has warned about the suspension of metro train services from the right bank to the left bank, resulting in a transportation collapse in the city due to the closed metro.
Reports indicate that residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged in several neighborhoods of the city due to debris from the struck drones.
A fire broke out in a 17-story building in the Pechersk district, injuring seven people, five of whom have been hospitalized. This was also reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
