The Deputy Mayor of Tsaghkadzor Caught in Scandal: Assault in Front of the Regional Administration
The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that the Deputy Mayor of Tsaghkadzor, Voskanyan Yeghiaryan, considered to be the first deputy, has recently found himself at the center of law enforcement attention. It has been reported that in early September, in front of the Kotayk regional administration building, the deputy mayor, his son of military age, and friends brutally assaulted a young man from Tsaghkadzor. The victim sustained significant injuries, particularly to the head.
Shortly after the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated proceedings. However, since the perpetrators are representatives of the 'Civil Contract' party, the investigation has not progressed. Neither the prosecutor's office nor the Investigative Committee has shown any urgency to detain or punish the members of the ruling party.
Sources from Tsaghkadzor informed us that Yeghiaryan constantly boasts about his patron, the deputy of the Civil Contract faction, Vagarshak Hakobyan, who allegedly supported his appointment to a high position. Unfortunately, we were unable to speak with Hakobyan to clarify the situation. We also could not locate the deputy mayor despite our considerable efforts.
