Signals from Israel: They Ask Us to Contact Iran, Says Putin
Russia has received signals indicating that Israel is not interested in confrontation and is committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict surrounding Iran's nuclear program. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by "Kommersant."
He noted that Iran is also interested in finding mutually acceptable solutions and resuming constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“We continue to trust our contacts with Israel and are receiving signals from the Israeli leadership asking us to convey to our Iranian partners that Israel is committed to further reconciliation and is not interested in any type of confrontation,” Putin said.
According to the Russian President, there is no reasonable alternative to a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
