What the US and the UK Discussed Regarding the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper have agreed to continue diplomatic efforts towards resolving the conflict in Ukraine following a phone conversation, the State Department announced.

“The Secretary and the Foreign Secretary agreed to continue diplomatic efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations and to establish lasting peace,” the department's statement said.

Additionally, it was noted that Russia and Ukraine have held three rounds of direct negotiations, two of which took place in Istanbul. As a result, there was an exchange of prisoners. Russia also handed over the bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen to the Kyiv regime. Moreover, the parties exchanged drafts of memorandums regarding conflict resolution.
