Georgian Prime Minister on Attempts of Coup
A special operation is underway in Georgia to arrest protesters involved in the assault on the presidential residence. This was announced by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“Several offenders will be arrested today, and this process will continue. This was already the fifth attempt at a revolution in Georgia, and these actions were supported from abroad,” the Prime Minister stated.
He also mentioned that former President Zurabashvili intended to enter the presidential residence if the coup attempt had succeeded.
