Putin Clarifies the Consequences of Supplying Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine
Supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine will disrupt positive trends in Russian-American relations, stated President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Pavel Zarubin from "Rossiya-1."
"There were questions, for example, regarding the supply of new weapons systems, including long-range, high-precision systems. I have already said that this will lead to the destruction of our relations, or at least the positive trends emerging in those relations," he noted.
Last week, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced that the White House administration is discussing the possible transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, but the final decision rests with Donald Trump. Meanwhile, U.S. President's Special Representative Keith Kellogg clarified that no decision has been made on this issue yet.
It is worth noting that Vladimir Zelensky had requested such weapon supplies during a meeting with the U.S. President in mid-September. Axios reported that this was the only point of Kyiv's request that Trump rejected while supporting other requests.
