Clashes in Tbilisi: Injuries and Arrests Reported
In Tbilisi, clashes between protesters and police have resulted in injuries to 6 protesters and 21 law enforcement officers, according to the country's Ministry of Health. One police officer is reported to be in serious condition. An additional 30 individuals received medical assistance on the scene.
It has also been reported that the Georgian police have arrested five citizens for calls to overthrow the government. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has stated that foreign agents will be neutralized and stripped of their opportunities to participate in Georgian politics.
The Prime Minister has placed the responsibility for the unrest in Tbilisi and attempts to undermine constitutional order on the EU ambassador.
