Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Responds to Trump's Statement
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes President Donald Trump's program to cease hostilities in Gaza: “We welcome the announcement of a comprehensive plan to halt the conflict in Gaza proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. Sustainable and just peace requires sincere commitment, mutual trust, and respect for international law. The exchange of prisoners and hostages, as well as meeting the humanitarian needs of the population, are vital for strengthening trust and paving the way for long-term stabilization and political settlement by alleviating tensions. Only through dialogue and goodwill can a lasting resolution be achieved, based on the principle of the two-state solution,” the ministry stated.
