Do Not Make the Absence of the CP on September 27 at Yerablur an Agenda Item: Vagharsak Hakobyan
Do not make the absence of the ruling Civil Contract Party (CP) at Yerablur on September 27 an agenda item, as we visit frequently. This was stated by CP member Vagharsak Hakobyan during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly, responding to the question of why no representative of the administration visited Yerablur on September 27.
“We visit Yerablur and other sacred sites related to the war very often, including without specific days or cameras. I do not want this issue to become a political agenda,” emphasized the MP.
According to Hakobyan, such visits are constant and sometimes go unreported. “Visits happen on a regular basis, but they are not always communicated. This is our duty of memory and respect, not a public ceremony,” he noted.
In response to journalists' questions about whether there was an internal directive to avoid going to Yerablur on September 27, the MP stated that such an issue has never been discussed. “Everything in our faction is decided through discussions; there are no directives or prohibitions,” he said.
Hakobyan also added that information regarding government and group visits can be obtained from official press services, and that soon “everyone will see that the agenda created around September 27 is fake.”
