Members of the 'Armenia' Faction Visit Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan
Today, member of the 'Armenia' faction, Agnesa Khmoyan, and I visited Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan at the NSS isolation facility. This was reported on Facebook by Garniq Danielyan, another member of the 'Armenia' faction.
'The Archbishop was strong and in good spirits. He shared some remarkable episodes from his spiritual service. The two-hour visit flew by like a moment. Each time, we uncover something new about the leader of the Shirak diocese. He is characterized by being serene, frugal, and noble.'
'While in captivity, the Archbishop dedicates most of his time to reading, especially Armenian and foreign literature. Throughout the years of all regimes, beginning from the Soviet era, Mikayel Ajapahyan has distinguished himself with his sharp critiques. Notably, he found himself behind bars during the rule of this regime, which he declared as 'people's bastion,' and by order.'
'Unfortunately, visits are closed in the case of Archbishop Bagrat. One thing we are sure of: it is impossible to suppress such spiritual leaders. Our two Archbishops are prisoners of conscience and faith. 'Tell the righteous, that it will be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds,' Danielyan wrote.
