NATO Warns Russia: Response Will Be Very 'Hard'
NATO has issued a warning to Russia, condemning the dangerous violation of Estonia's airspace by Moscow on September 19. "The violation of Estonia's airspace by fighter jets, as well as interference with the airspace of other allies by Russia, represents a growing trend of increasingly irresponsible behavior. Russia bears full responsibility for these actions. Such steps lead to an escalation of the situation, increase the risk of miscalculations, and endanger human lives. These actions must cease immediately," NATO's statement reads.
The statement also notes that NATO and its allies will utilize military and non-military means necessary to defend themselves and to prevent any threats, in accordance with international law. "We will respond at our chosen time, in our chosen manner, and at our chosen place. Our commitment to Article 5 remains unwavering," the NATO statement emphasizes.
