Ruben Vardanyan Requests to Question Nikol Pashinyan in Baku Court
Ruben Vardanyan has requested to question Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of the OSCE Minsk Group, and representatives of the ICRC in the Baku court. This request has been left unexamined.
The former Minister of State of Artsakh made another motion, indicating that he does not understand why the criminal case is being tried in a military court, as he is not a serviceman. This request was rejected on the grounds that 'certain actions attributed to the accused relate to military offenses.'
Vardanyan also stated that he does not agree with the charge of illegally crossing the state border of Azerbaijan. In yet another motion, he requested to question the commanders of the Russian military contingent that carried out peacekeeping missions in Artsakh. This motion was also left unexamined, but it was noted that the defense could reapply.
