Erdogan's Instructions Regarding the 'Zangezur Corridor': Turkish Ambassador
The special representative for the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations, Ambassador Serdar Kılıç, visited Igdir for a series of meetings. He met with Igdir Governor Erçan Topaca.
In a conversation with reporters, Kılıç mentioned that they have some collaborative work planned with the Armenian special representative. “We will review those activities, confirm the steps taken previously. We will discuss what can be done in the future to improve the economic life of both countries, especially in this region,” he stated.
He emphasized the significance of the Zangezur Corridor and mentioned that, following the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the corridor will be opened in the near future. “In our region, this entire process is evaluated with great enthusiasm. Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, constructive negotiations are ongoing with all our neighboring countries. We have the Alican border checkpoint, and recently we laid the groundwork for the 124-kilometer railway from Dilucu to Kars related to the Zangezur Corridor,” he added.
