European Commission Aims to Limit Cooperation with Israel: Ursula von der Leyen
The European Commission intends to limit cooperation with Israel, impose sanctions on its cabinet members, and suspend the EU's Association Agreement. This was announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her speech at the European Parliament session in Strasbourg regarding the state of the European Union.
“We are stopping our support for Israel; we will halt all payments that do not affect our cooperation with this country’s civil society,” Ursula von der Leyen stated.
